The easiest evening out from Udupi. You can climb the lighthouse for a full view along the coastline, the beach on either side is wide and rarely crowded, and the Marigudi temple in the town is an old and busy kshetra. It is the second half of our Udupi local sightseeing package.

The lighthouse only opens to visitors in the late afternoon, so a morning trip gets you the beach and not the view. Aim to be climbing it by five.
